Imagine having an event where the best marimba artists from around the world will come together to celebrate the instrument, its history, and its cultures...Where you can be present for the world premiere of works by some of today’s most creative composers...Where you will experience the marimba in various traditional representations from around the globe...  Where you can experience the wonderful sounds of this instrument in some of the most beautiful acoustic spaces in the world...  Where the marimba will be celebrated by the most renowned and prestigious artistic organizations in the Twin Cities... Where performances with symphony orchestras, chamber ensembles, bands, choirs, or in solo settings, will put the marimba in the foreground of musical activities for 3 1⁄2 days...
